Ever wonder what really happens during a Squad Life visit? Spoiler alert: it’s a lot more than just checking boxes on a list. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what our team actually does when we come to your home each month.


Step 1: Arrival and Briefing

Our technician arrives at your home and does a walk-around to assess any visible issues or changes since the last visit. We check weather impact, wear and tear, and anything you’ve flagged for review.


Step 2: System Inspections

We examine all major systems:

  • HVAC: Clean or replace filters, check for airflow or heating/cooling issues.

  • Plumbing: Inspect exposed pipes, test water pressure, check for slow drains or leaks.

  • Electrical: Test smoke and CO detectors, inspect panel and outlet integrity, change bulbs in hard-to-reach places.

  • Exterior: Check roof, gutters, siding, and doors for damage or weathering.


Step 3: Preventative Maintenance Tasks

Depending on the season, we:

  • Flush water heaters

  • Clear and treat gutters

  • Caulk windows

  • Lubricate garage door openers

  • Clean dryer vents

  • Winterize/summerize systems


Step 4: Notes and Recommendations

After the visit, we generate a detailed report of what was done, what needs monitoring, and what we recommend for next time. Photos and data go into your home’s digital record.


Step 5: Communication & Scheduling

You’ll receive a full summary via email or app notification. If anything needs urgent attention, we’ll coordinate next steps with you.
